The Framework Decision 2009/948/JHA on prevention and settlement of conflicts of exercise of jurisdiction in criminal proceedings has been published in the Official Journal. It establishes a procedure for establishing contact between the competent authorities of Member States for confirming the existence of parallel criminal proceedings for the same criminal offense.
The Framework Decision stipulates the exchange of information, through direct consultations between the competent authorities in case the parallel criminal proceedings are already confirmed.
