This should be a misunderstanding. The leader of one of the Bulgarian trade unions – Jeliazko Hristov, has said that “the European directives are clear – the minimum wage should be at least 60% of the average wage”.
I would really like to see that directive. It is true that there are calls for a European minimum wage policy. But there is no directive.
